so far in huck finn, alot has happened. HuckleBerry Finn has moved in with widow douglas after inheriting all his money from the treasure find. She has influenced him to wear nicer looking clothes and attend school. But things go bad when JHuck realizes that his dad is back in town, he knows that his pap is probably looking for money and knows that huck has it so he gives all the money to the judge so that his dad cant take it. we soon learn that his dad is an alchoholic whos prooud that he doesnt read or write and he wants huck to not be able to as well. he gets custody of huck and takes him away but that doesnt last long because huck doesnt want to be with his dad so he fakes his death and has the whole town worrying about him. now he's on his own.
i like that its not a boring book that something is always going on. I dislike that they have repetitive quotes like "by and by". I also dont like the way some of the phrases are worded especially jims phrases because i cant understand what they mean. OI dont see how this book compares to of mice and men really untill huck becomes friends with jim and i guess its kind of the same "relationship" how one has a disadvantage how lenny was slow or now how jim doesnt really have any freedom and depends on huck to help him gain it and hucks kind of like goerge because he stays with jim even though he has an option to leave him and make someone else help him or turn him in.
